Y'know I SHOULD be amazed, if not shocked I managed to sit through an isekai that I loathed, and have been on record saying as such....from how annoying and unlikable Seiichi is, the unfunny humor, ESPECIALLY the Jojo memes, and now toilet humor?!

And yet, I managed to sit through 2 seasons of Rent-A-Girlfriend. Either I grew immune and became adjusted to the cringe and trash overtime, or I snapped a long time ago, and I'm somehow unaware.

I'm not going to lie, though some of the humour is low-brow it's devotion to parodying the current trope of OP MC with demon inside is impeccable.

Also I actually pissed myself when they asked him where he was all this time and he responded with "I was battling another enemy."

A lot of the jokes are coming across stupidly, but hidden somewhere behind the toilet jokes is an attempt at fulfilling a proper stereotypical shounen cliche while also making it completely laughable.

One thing this show could have improved on is pacing. Everything else is actually half decent.

I LOLed at the old guy who totally could have helped but was too busy enjoying the bondage play.

I find that they've kind of written it like a gag manga, where each scene is its own self contained joke, but that has the negative impact of leaving actual story development behind in favour of setting up the next punchline.

Bro atleast Rent a girlfriend is watchable, I pretty much enjoy the show its overhated.. This evolution fruit shit is so trash , we still watch it , no use in comparing the two , and if u say about dumb MC s we already seen a lot of them so why he is the only one that is hated

Dude got the the same crown as Takemichi from TRash. It's not overhated since it's understandable. There are a bunch of idiot MCs that more bearable than these clown. He's not the only one that people hated but one of the hatest MCs for sure.

Read the manga hoping it would get better. 200 chapters of the same thing then the grandma dies then it's back to the same crud again. It wasn't readable or watchable.

I'm a bit of a trashy Harem Connoisseur, I've watched all of them as they appeal to my inner teenager and so I feel I can say with some authority that this is trash even by Trashy Harem Standards and that's because it abandoned the basic formula that all Trash Harem are based around.
A typically Kind/Well-Meaning MC is typically Isekai'd and given enormous innate power and then goes on some sort of journey where he easily defeats his foes whilst gaining the trust, friendship and acclaim of influential or powerful individuals who are generally attractive, forthcoming, adoring females who choose to follow him on his journey resulting in him gradually acquiring a harem of females. That simple formula appeals to the simple minded teenage boy inside of us who like wish fulfilment/power fantasies and the Harem ensures at least 1 girl will be your 'Best Girl.'

For inexplicable reasons they've abandoned that formula in this 2nd season and chosen to focus on Auxiliary character's drama's whilst focusing more on lowbrow Comedy/Gag aspects.

As such this 2nd season might seriously be the most irredeemably bad anime of the last decade. At least with a show like Gibiate which I feel is currently the worst anime of the last decade you can at least find humour in it the way people find humour in Tommy Wisseau's movie 'The Room.' You're laughing at the more 'Meta' aspects of it like how could someone write this line, scene, monologue,etc and what was going on at the animation company and who okayed these scenes? Kind of thing.
This 2nd season isn't even amusing on that level, it's just kind of pathetic and obnoxious.

The only reason i continue to watch Rent-A-Girlfriend is because the girls not the MC. Just take those girls away and no one will want to watch that trash. I want to respect someone's works but it is what it is.

What a dumb plot....all their action looks super cringe...and that dumb Gorilla 🦍 is just too disappointing...the girl took damage for seichi... nothing happened to seichi and why he just dozed off....and back to that gorilla why she wouldn't ask anything about the girl who took all the dmg who's life is in danger... meanwhile she's like seichi...seichi...noooooooo...

Well that didn't follow the light novel at all. The guy villain was suppose to lose all his limbs in messed up way the girl villain got forgiven. they were also suppose the unmasked the bear dude to reveal his whole face being burned.

OK, the weird Jojo faces and Jojo esque animation, I can tolerate to a degree.

Not so much with the toilet humor with Seiichi.

Principal reminds me of Darkness in Konosuba.

The problem with this anime is that they are not doing the source material justice the books are different from what happens here and the main guy seiichi is not this bad, and he's a lot more enjoyable in the light novels

First season follows the manga almost accurately while sneaking in a joke from their own a bit there and there and it works. This one? I guess this is a case where we can call it as over joking. Stuff is just not funny when they keep shoving the same joke over and over. No balance between the funny and the action. And yeah its way different than the source.

Guess they traded the better mediocre visual with crappy plot decision.
